Moradia T5, acabada de reabilitar , localizada em Pavia , Vila do Concelho de Mora, no coração do Alentejo. A 147kms de Lisboa (1 hora e meia de carro pela autoestrada A6), 45kms de Évora, 41kms de Estremoz, 22kms de Arraiolos, 28kms (20 minutos de carro) da barragem de Montargil, e 100kms de Espanha (Badajoz). Os pontos de interesse da Vila de Pavia, para além da mais absoluta tranquilidade e paz de espírito que oferece, são vários. Deixo a curiosidade de remontar, no que à formação do Concelho diz respeito, ao séc. XIII, tendo sido sede do Concelho entre 1287 e o início do séc. XIX. Pavia terá sido, no entanto, povoada em épocas pré-históricas, conforme o comprovam numerosos monumento megalíticos existentes na área, sendo o mais famoso a Anta que encontramos à entrada da Vila, a qual pode ser vista numa das fotografias desta página. Actualmente, terá 715 habitantes. A PROPRIEDADE Relativamente à moradia, esta encontra-se a poucos metros do centro da Vila , numa rua totalmente calma, tranquila e seguramente muito pitoresca. Como referido no início deste texto, foi totalmente reabilitada em 2024, quase podemos dizer reconstruída de raíz, tendo sido mantidos alguns aspectos estruturais. A utilização de técnicas tradicionais e de réplicas exactas de materiais pré-existentes foi uma das preocupações fundamentais desta reabilitação. Foi, assim, mantida a traça original através da preservação de muitos dos materiais existentes e a réplica de materiais de época na zonas reconstruídas. Materiais e técnicas tradicionalmente usados no Alentejo tais como mármore, ladrilhos de barro e pavimentos de cimento afagado, são uma das marcas distintas deste projecto. A propriedade é constituída por 2 edifícios independentes entre si, interligados por um páteo alentejano , com uma sublíme piscina . A casa principal tem 3 suites: no piso de entrada encontra-se uma sala ampla com o conceito de cozinha americana e uma grande lareira , uma suite e uma divisão secundária que poderá sem mais um quarto, uma biblioteca, uma sala de tv/cinema, enfim, o que mais fizer sentido para os seus proprietários. No 1. andar encontram-se mais 2 amplas suítes e um terraço com uma vista fulgurante para a planície alentejana . Na segunda casa , também com 2 pisos, encontram-se 2 suítes e uma sala , que poderá ter diversas utilizações, sendo uma delas, fazer sala com cozinha americana, caso se pretenda efectivamente criar um espaço totalmente independente da casa principal. Uma cisterna com água em abundância que alimenta a piscina e a existência de uma adega no páteo com riquíssimas talhas antigas , nas quais poderá produzir o seu próprio vinho da talha , ou simplesmente mantê-las para efeitos decorativos, são outros elementos de interesse desta moradia. Restará dizer que a reabilitação desta moradia, de caracteríticas únicas, teve por preocupação prioritária dos seus proprietários conservar a personalidade original da mesma e do local onde se insere , ao mesmo tempo permitindo, através dos materiais e equipamentos utilizados, garantir os níveis de conforto e comodidade que nos dias de hoje se exigem, tais como a pré-instalação de ar condicionado e as janelas de vidro-duplo e corte-térmico. The points of interest in the Village of Pavia, in addition to the absolute tranquility and peace of mind it offers, are numerous. I leave the curiosity to go back, with regard to the formation of the Municipality, to the 19th century. XIII, having been the seat of the Municipality between 1287 and the beginning of the century. XIX. Pavia was, however, populated in prehistoric times, as evidenced by numerous megalithic monuments in the area, the most famous being the Anta that we find at the entrance to the town, which can be seen in one of the photographs on this page. Currently, it has 715 inhabitants. THE PROPERTY This property is located just few meters from the center of the village , on a perfectly calm, peaceful and certainly very picturesque street. As mentioned at the beginning of this text, this property was completely refurbished, we could almost say rebuilt from scratch, with some structural aspects being maintained. The refurbishment is just in its final details, so this is a rehabilitation to debut. Using traditional tecnhiques and exact replicas of period materials was one of the fundamental concerns of this rehabilitation project. The original architecture was thus maintained through the preservation of many of the original materials and the replica of pre-existing materiais in the reconstructed areas. Materials and techniques traditionally used in Alentejo, such as marble , clay tiles and sanded cement floors are, among other things, a distinct mark of the project which had as its main objective and concern the preserving the original personality of the house and the location , at the same time allowing, through the materials and equipment used, to guarantee the levels of comfort and convenience that are now-a-days required, including pre-installation of air conditioning or double panned windows with thermal break. Its distinctive feature is the fact that it is made up of 2 independent buildings , interconnected by a traditional Alentejo inner courtyard featuring a sublime swimming pool. The main house has in total 3 ensuite bedrooms . On the ground floor there is one ensuite bedroom, a spacious living room with an open concept kitchen featuring a large fireplace and a secondary room perfect for a TV/cinema room. On the 1st floor you can find another 2 large ensuite bedrooms plus a wide terrace with stunning views of the Alentejo plain. In the second house there are 2 ensuite bedrooms and one living room , which can have different uses, one of which is to create a living room with an open concept kitchen, if you want to effectively a space completely independent from the main house. A cistern which feeds water to the swimming pool and the existence of a wine cellar with access from the courtyard of the house where you will find several old and beautiful large clay talhas , in which you can produce your own talha wine, or simply keeping them for decorative purposes, are other elements of interest in this house.
