House 4 Bedrooms in Degracias e Pombalinho
Degracias e Pombalinho, Soure, Coimbra
House with land to restore in the town of Cotas, Soure. This old-fashioned house consists of 2 floors and several annexes. In this house, a new roof has already been placed, so only all the divisions inside need remodeling, being able to take advantage of the exterior stone walls. The land, walled all the way around, is of large dimensions where you can create a leisure space or even create your crops in agriculture. Give free rein to your imagination, as the Serra de Sicó has been sought after as an ideal destination for the construction and/or rehabilitation of holiday homes or permanent housing, by many national or foreign people who yearn to change their ways of life and choose to new healthy styles in unusual and unique places, arguments that the Municipality of Soure, namely in the parish of Pombalinho, satisfies and where there is a remarkable, yet sustainable, demand. To the north of the Serra de Aire and Candeeiros, Serra do Sicó encompasses the municipalities of Condeixa-a-Nova, Alvaiázere, Ansião, Soure, Penela and Pombal. With 553 meters at the highest point, this mountain gives its name to the entire limestone massif, being the highest in its western block. With the exposed limestone rock and the intense process of lapiazation (fractures in the surface rocks) that it suffered, Serra de Sicó is one of the magnificent examples of karst landscape in the region. In addition to the extensive fields of lapia, other surface and deep karst forms can be found here. This is the case of the sinkholes (small valleys) partially dismantled that nest in the vast 'colon' that separates Monte de Sicó from its western brother, Monte do Ouro, and also the case of some caves (natural cavity) and limpets (fractures). in the rocks - typical formation of limestone reliefs) which, benefiting from the intense tectonic fracturing that this area has suffered, occur mainly to the east of the mountain (lapa da Cerâmica, algar da Lagoa, algar da Pena Só, algar da Ervilha, etc.) area that is today one of the most sought after by speleologists. The strong asymmetry and, in particular, the steep escarpment that constitutes the northeast slope make the somital point (point with the highest altitude) of this mountain a magnificent viewpoint from where you can see, to the east, a significant part of the limestone massif and, to the south, a vast area that leads to the Serra de Alvaiázere and, on days of good light, to the Estremenho limestone massif. In this massif, whose structural and geomorphological characteristics lead to a strong penetration of surface waters inside the limestone mass, making the surface dry and the rock bare, a vegetation with Mediterranean characteristics develops, of which the rare patches of executioner's balcedos and small residual areas of oak and cork oak forests. In these open areas, orchids and other bulbous and rhizomatous plants, such as scorpion and ophrys scolopax, can easily grow. A rarity in Portugal can be found in the crevices of the basic rocks under cover of holm oak or in low brush: n 'With 553 meters at the highest point, this mountain range that gives its name to the entire limestone massif is the highest in its western block. . In this massif, there is vegetation with Mediterranean characteristics, of which the rare patches of carrasco's balsedos and small residual areas of cerquinho and cork oak forests are relics. In these open areas, orchids and other bulbous and rhizomatous plants are easily vegetated, such as broad-leaf grass and Ophrys scolopax subsp. scolopax. And their high commercial interest means that they are often harvested so intensively that they quickly become endangered species. From the top of an escarpment or the branch of a tree, the eagle owl guards its territory with head movements of imperturbable somberness.
