Carrazedo Embedded at the northwest end of the municipality of Cabeceiras de Basto, Bucos is a mountain parish where the airs of Cabreira are already breathed. Bordering the municipalities of Vieira do Minho, Montalegre, Fafe and the parish of Cabeceiras de Basto (S. Nicolau), this locality encompasses an extensive territorial area, about 17.1 km2. It has a low settlement rate, with 554 inhabitants (2011 census). The subsistence economy is based on agriculture and livestock. With a high natural and ethnographic heritage, Bucos is an ethnofolk repository. It is also a land of stick players, who skillfully handle this instrument, once used as a defensive weapon. From the built heritage, stands out the Parish Church, cruzeiro, the tangof Carrazedo, considered the largest of Minho and beautiful houses in rural stonework. The stoneware of Bucos was once one of the places of tourist interest to be noted, whose existence is inseparable from the arts and crafts practiced there. We refer to the weaving of wool and burel. The feast in honor of St. John the Baptist, the Feast of the Lord and the Lady of Relief are the pilgrimages with more relief held in the parish of Bucos. Carrazedo is next to the village of Agra (Vieira do Minho). The village of Agra is located in the parish of Rossas, south of the forest perimeter of Serra da Cabreira, and is bathed by the River Ave, which gives it an exceptional landscape setting. The village of Agra, like the villages of Louredo and Campos, was classified as 'Village of Portugal' by the Village Tourism Association. #ref:107-007
