Outras Companhas de Ílhavo seguiram o exemplo deste arrais e deslocaram-se para a Costa Nova, abandonando a costa velha de São Jacinto. Num breve lapso de tempo encontraram-se neste Enclave a Companha do Salvador, do Arrais José Fernandes Batata, a Companha dos Capotes do Arrais Marçalo Francisco Capote e a Companha do Galo do Arrais Manuel Fernandes Bagão. Começaram primeiro por construir os palheiros na borda do mar para guarda de todo o artesanato piscatório. A permanência destas Companhas despoletou a criação da população deste Enclave, constituído por milhares de pescadores com as suas mulheres e filhos e pelos indivíduos com interesses ligados ao comércio e indústria das pescarias.
