'Quinta da Boa Vista' is located in the base of the Serra da Estrela, precisely within the urban mesh of the city of Covilhã. We enjoy from the property, panoramic and beautiful views to the valley by the mountain. The fact of being near the city gives it all the proximity to all kind of public services and others, besides the good accessibilities and infrastructures near the property. The Quinta has an area of 50.000 sqm of land with several fruit trees, olive trees, apple trees, hazel trees, fig trees, oak trees, chestnut trees and some vines and several natural water mines. It has three constructions destined to habitation, with an implantation area of 252 sqm, needing some significant recovery and restoration works. The property is distributed in terraces, being that, these patamares are flat, although the disposition of the property has the natural inclination of a slope that leans to the valley. Good quality land with water in abundance. It has several tanks for watering trees and other types of crops. The farm meets all the conditions, as an option, to be installed there a Rural Tourism Unit, either by the great access, the fact that electricity is on the property and the fact that the farm is determinant is bordering with the city. It is inside the city of Covilhã, and 10 minutes from Serra da Estrela, a little more than 2 hours from Lisbon and the Airport. (Refr. 387-22) #ref:387-22

The small village of 'Chão das Ovelhas' is located near Sertã and very close to the Cabril Dam, in Beira Baixa. The village, whose name comes from being a very old village, with great agricultural importance linked to forested areas, where pastoralism was quite determinant. Due to its location on top of a plateau in the form of a hill (hence also called the top of the hill), designed and worked on for hundreds of years by humans who created excellent agricultural areas with plenty of water in their surroundings, it has the appearance of a medieval castle village. This village consists of 7 buildings, with 7 urban articles, with 800 m2 of construction, and 5 plots of land with 5 rustic articles, totaling a total area of 12,500 m2. The existing houses, practically in ruins, could be completely restored and rehabilitated, thus giving rise to a possible Tourist Complex in Schist Houses, which could also be expanded. The village has all public infrastructures (water supply, electricity, telecommunications, communication routes, public lighting). It is important to mention the excellent access: with 75 meters of paved road and about 500 meters from the national road; 6 km from IC8; 21 km from the A13 motorway. The accessibility of this village compared to others is truly extraordinary. About 60 years ago, it was abandoned by the last resident, justifying his move to another house nearby, because he felt very lonely, surrounded by abandoned houses. This village, before being separated in inheritance, belonged to 3 generations of Jerónimos, Grandmother, Father, and Grandson, but its history is much older. Some of the descendants ended up moving to more populated places nearby, and others ended up moving to large urban centers. The vegetable gardens around this village are excellent and have plenty of water. According to an elderly lady who worked there over 70 years ago, there was a long period of drought and the wells almost ran dry, but the wells in the adjacent lands to the village had the most water, and at that time, people planted cabbages and other agricultural products, with just one watering at planting time, and the agricultural products, sown and planted, ended up growing due to the freshness of these agricultural lands, providing food for the people of the village and neighboring villages. The village is located in one of Portugal's paradises with more sun and water south of the Serra da Lousã and west of the Serra da Madeirã, almost bathed by the Zêzere River, near two dams (Cabril and Bouçã). Its streams and the river that flows into it have attracted citizens from various countries in Central and Northern Europe over the past 3 decades (currently representing 1/3 of the residents of this territory), due to its landscape, the environment, and the air (also known as a health and wellness tourism destination over the last centuries, managing to bypass pandemics for centuries. A famous national writer, Miguel Leitão de Andrada, a native of this territory from the 16th century, wrote about this village, stating that it was a pure land, where the dreaded 'Black Plague' had never entered until then. 'It is in good health...that the problem of the plague has never been seen here, as in our times; namely, in the year 1569 the great plague, and others in the year 1580, being this kingdom so affected by this evil. People live here for many years and many healthy people, without doctors, and I have a document of nobility and cleanliness, in public, which I needed to take the habit of Christ, from six witnesses, taken in this village; and all pass one hundred years old, and some one hundred and twenty, and one hundred and fifteen; and one Pero Carvalho, a witness, used to say to his granddaughter: - When they ask us what we like most about this village, we answer that it is the fact of seeing one of the most extraordinary sunsets I have ever seen in my life, looking back and thinking that I am in my medieval village, which stands out on a plateau surrounded by hills and valleys, which elevated on the horizon, looks like a small castle where one reigns, lives, and dreams.' 730 m²
The Herdade do Monte da Rocha with an area of 348 hectares, is located in the municipality of Fundão in the middle of Beira Interior. The property is flat, in its centre, and 3/5 of its area, presents a morphology with remarkable slopes, consisting of American oak forest, wild cherry tree, olive trees, maritime pine, bush and rocky outcrops. However, the flatter areas can be used for some irrigated crops and grazing. It has excellent sun exposure and excellent wind catchment on the ridges that surround the whole property. We must point out the important house, with an area of more than 750 m2, situated in the flatter area, with three houses built in granite, complemented with the respective annexes. The houses and annexes may be used as support houses for agricultural, forestry and hunting activities, and also, optionally, for tourism. Very close to the houses, there is a large waterhole, fed by a spring, which can be used as an irrigation system. It is worth noting the various spring points scattered around the property. All the rainwater converges on the centre of the land (due to the shell-shaped topography). For this reason, the existing dam at the foot of the land is fed by the waters coming from the property. The forestry part generates periodical income of some significance. But, the property, being more utilized and explored, it will naturally give other type of incomes, namely in the agricultural exploration, wind and solar energy, for which it is perfectly suitable. Place with a lot of privacy. With good accesses to the property. About 15 minutes from the A23 and 2.30 hours from Lisbon. (N/ Ref 1069-21). #ref:1069-21

Vila Velha de Ródão, Vila Velha de Rodão, Castelo Branco

    160 m²
The 'Quinta dos Moinhos and do Antigo Lagar' with a total area of 5,7 hectares, distributed by 20.000 m2 of urban patio and 37.000 m2 of pine forest and free / open area, is located in Beira Interior, 15 minutes away from the city of Castelo Branco. It is the old 'Fábrica do Ribeiro do Cerejal, in the proximities of Vila Velha de Ródão and the international Tagus river. It worked in the transformation of olives into olive oil, aided at the time by 2 water mills, 2 hydraulic presses, bagasse crusher, copper boiler furnace with 2 thousand litres of water, driven by a German hydraulic turbine. In dry periods, a powerful diesel engine and gas lighting throughout the structure. All this, a bit of history. Today, none of this equipment exists. However, we should also mention: the wall of the small water dam of megalithic construction about 3 metres wide and the water falling over this wall, coming out of the turbine's discharge turbo or the lateral floodgates, formed clouds of sprayed water and cascades of gigantic flows. It is a large, ruined, austere building, totally built of granite, very robust, and of great height, able to support three floors, between the base and the roof. The building borders on the river, whose water used to move the mills, which at the time were in full activity. The walls are structurally in good condition. They are very thick, reflecting an excellent quality when they were built. The fact of comprising a patio area with about 2 hectares, will allow for sure, to the investor client, the installation of a possible rural charm hotel, specially designed for nature and countryside, or simply for a family farm of private nature. It is a unique place, very pleasant and quiet, with immense privacy, immersed in a valley surrounded by forest. The accesses are made through a dirt road between the property and the A23 highway. About 15 minutes from Castelo Branco, less than 1 hour from Serra da Estrela, and less than 2 hours from Lisbon. (N/ Ref 481-21). #ref:481-21
